Metaxa is a unique drink from the Mediterranean. Metaxa 7* is made by distilling vine wine from very ripe grapes that have ripened in the sun of the Aegean islands of Samos, Limnos and from the Patras region. It is aged for at least 7 years in French white oak barrels. Then, unlike other brandies, it is mixed with archival vintage Muscat wines and an extract from a mixture of herbs and rose petals. It acquires a golden yellow color during ripening. The harmonious aroma is very soft, with the flavor of wood, with a light note of muscat wine. It tastes full, soft, mature, with a hint of vanilla.
